But the thought of spending more $$$ is sungguh meralatkan. Why? Because I always hear voices in my head. Voices in my head that keep on reminding me (annoyingly though) that the value of these perishable items is almost equavalent to satu lot saham Sime Darby/Maybank/TNB/IOI Corp. Dan jika ekonomi baik, siap boleh make profit lagi tu! Like, today you buy the lot (or lots, if you got  loads of cash in hand) for RM8K, lepas tu sudah naik RM8500 ke. Huhu untung RM500 which can buy a 6 months supply of BodyShop cosmetic (in my case lah kan, perempuan mengandung yang mahu segalanya natural and not animal tested).

 Nikon DSLR – Do I need it because we already have Panasonic Lumix 8MP. And Panasonic camcorder. Yang itu pun malas nak charge kan.

Gucci Joy Boston Medium/Large Bag  – sebab saya memang suka beg  macam ini, cute bentuknya, tapi bukan lah beli and kumpul sepenuh almari, beli satu je sebab saya bukan pengumpul tegar. I dont have a designer bag, takut tak berbaloi kerana saya suka menyumbat pelbagai barangan dalam beg, berat macam big “tone” (stone) kata Kim-kim, nephew berusia 23 bulan merangkap bakal teman boxing bayi dalam kandungan saya yang sesekali memboxing pula perut saya dari dalam sekarang ni.

iPhone vs BlackBerry - saya kini menggunakan Nokia N70 dibeli 3 tahun lepas. Telah ditukar cover original dan bateri pula tak berapa nak original sebab tulah asek-asek mati je dan menjadi motivasi pulak nak tukar telefon lain. Tapi saya sayanggggg duhet dan juga kerana handphone ini kerana masih boleh pakai dan functional. Cuma tak la boleh download iTunes kan.

 Tapi tengoklah camana. Mana la tau balik karang jalan-jalan tersepak plastik beg dalam tu ada RM2 juta lepas tu bila report kat polis dia kata tak apa ambiklah rezeki anak Puan tu hehe. Dengan kedai-kedai Nikon, Gucci dan Apple Store tu akan ku sapu habis.

A day before Raya hubby and I went to balik kampung in N9.Atuk wanted to have a buka puasa, tahlil and takbir at our old house. We arrived first before my parents.

Some, when asking my hubby on where we are going to balik kampung this raya, remarked like this when hubby informed him that we are going to go back to N9.

“Apa ni mengalah dengan isteri?”

We were like, “huh? Mengalah apa?” There was nothing to fight about. And I actually was ok je raya kat mana-mana pun.It was my hubby who wants to go back to N9.Considering that we are already living with his parents.( Which is now MY parents too).

When at first people discovered that I am going to live with my in laws, they got  a bit apprehensive and give me some advices:
“ you better move out and live on your own.”

“ No freedom la”

But I watched our wedding video and saw something that melts my heart.

FIL said to our cameraman: ” …You are my only son.”

And yes, my hubby is the only son. And everyone knows that a son is responsible for his parents welfare. And yes, I know I would have to practice tolerance.But I am already loving them as my own.

Bapak is a simple person. He loves to cook and feed us. hihi.Always ensure I have my yakult.And Mi goreng dia sangatttt sedaaaappppp.

And I also like spending time with Mimi, learning her likes and dislikes. She is a simple person too.Loves her antiques items, Taiwan news, mandarin dramas yang ada hantu kelihatan sangat fake tetapi penuh dengan moral seperti jangan curi harta orang dan bunuh dia sebab nanti hantu dia akan kejar kita.Loves beading.Mimi is also teaching me to eat for health (like the Chinese do) and not purely for taste only (like I usually do).

And I even went travelling with her (and no, my hubby wasnt following) even before I was married. We went to Jakarta and Bandung last January.

And yes, I am glad that we will live together in a house that hubby already bought next year.

But I am adamant about getting a maid ASAP, so that Mimi will not be alone at home with our baby taking care of everything.if she is taking care of baby, then somebody must take care of other household chores for her. Oh sungguh berat hatiku membiarkan orang tua yang menjaga anak yang sepatutnya aku sendiri besarkan.

Lain la kalau pejabat aku benarkan kaum ibu bawak baby ke pejabat (dan sediakan crib kat tepi work desk).

Tapi inilah dilemanya kaum ibu sekarang kan?

Home Schweet Home

Our house expected completion date is end of October 2009.

Mimi (my mother in law)  said not to move in just yet. Maybe wait dulu after delivery. Then baru pindah. She’s worried about me and baby. Apparently, there is a pantang among Chinese people  not to move/renovate a house when there is a expecting woman in the house. Not even to drive a nail on the wall for the husband.

At first I do feel dissapointed, coz I dont usually believe in superstition. Tapi bila pikir-pikir balik,  tak kesah la nak pindah bila pun. Mungkin orang dolu-dolu buat pantang macam tu bersebab. Like, kalau perempuan mengandung berpindah rumah mungkin dia boleh jadi stress dan membahayakan bayi dalam kandungan. But we intend to hire a professional mover to help with the packing. From the bed, aircond and astro installation semua dia buat. Hehe kalo macam tu kan malas la nak susun kerongsang yang bertaburan atas dresser tu. Karang ada orang kemaskan hihi.

Tapi I cheer up after thinking,  hey why not boleh buat sekali kenduri aqiqah baby and house warming sekali gus…

Dah terbayang declassaflora lagi as aqiqah decorator…i heart their work..like the one they did on my wedding.

Tapi items to do now are:

- Kitchen cabinet research

-Grill

-Colors for the rooms

-Curtains

-Fridge and washing machine research

Thinking of not doing too much work on the house. Yang basic2 sudah lah. Sebab there might be a chance that hubby and I will further our study in this 3 years time. Hubby leaving for PhD that might take about 4 years time. Me for Masters degree that might take about 2 years. Tak ke membazir buat rumah fit for to be featured in Anjung Seri magazine tapi pastu kena jual semua balik?

Meanwhile, I am sooooo loving everything in this blog, Swish and Swanky.

I am liking polka dots pattern now.

I find it chic and retro.

Just looking for the perfect opportunity to wear my new black and white polka dot scarf. And currently wanting that one in brown with yellow, blue, pink and white dots I saw in MV.

Since I discovered that I am pregnant, one of the prompt actions taken was giving up my heeled shoes (2-3 inch).

Me ever so faithful in my metallic grey ballet pumps. Pic was taken during SKTT' 94 mini reunion in Restoran Nelayan

I wore my flats faithfully (a pair of black loafer and one pair of metallic grey ballet pumps) and even worn them with thick army socks due to my suddenly colder feet.

I do not care a pinch on how I looked like.

Now that I am feeling much better in my 2nd trimester (and I can concentrate on different sensations like the pleasure of certain food, coffee and even looking good other than nausea, giddiness and sleepiness)  I noticed that my feet actually hurts from all that wearing-flats-only business. And my feet actually feels more soothed after I started wearing my Raya wedges.

Am I unconsciously  turning into some sort of fashionista, like Victoria Beckham who claims she cant concentrate if not wearing sky high heels?

Huh, diva pulak.

I also got myself 2 pairs of wedges for Raya. A pair of  shiny patent leather material in nude and another pair in black velvet with multi pastel color woven fabric heels with a summery feelin’.

Late nights again. I hope this will stop after we have our baby.

Because whats the point of joining *service when all you get is  more time in the office, longer hours  (until 12-1 am if ur pregnant, 3-4 am if ur not pregnant and unmarried) for 3 days straight (and that is if you are lucky, if not, more, 4-5 days) ?

That is so not the point kan.

On a happier note, I’d like to report the progress of our little bun in the oven and me.

Little Bun In The Oven:

I definitely dont have  a twin, as the doc can see thru his ultrasound. But maybe my siblings will, because Mummy has the genetics, since there are 3 sets of twins in our family. I am now at 14 weeks, 3 months plus but according to whattoexpect.com, I am already in my 4th month.
I am at the size of a lemon now, but a really cute one hehe. Mummy also start giving me PB Neurogain, so that I be a healthy and chubby baby. But she thought I look like a cheeky baby  in my scan pic, and I think she’s not far from being right .And I also know she’s wondering if I am boy or a girl, because she really wants to start browsing for pink or baby blue clothes. Mummy loves me, I know this because despite her tiredness and sleepiness, she still eats her cereal for sahur with her eyes closed to ensure that I get enough nutrient for the day.

Papa is a man with a nice voice. I hear him talking to Mummy, singing and laughing. I feel him kissing me in Mummy tummy, saying he loves me too. I heard him refusing to go to Sweden for a month in March 2010, which is my big day! And I also heard him planning to teach me karate, swimming and speaking Mandarin – all the stuff that Mummy cant do hehe. But I know what Mummy can do is to give me a good food from her body, and that is the best gift for a little bun in the oven like me.

Mummy To Be:

My facial skin is so far good, only that i have some zits on my right cheek, probably because I always sleep on my right side.
Friends said I glow, but can you tell yourself that you are glowing?
my face is rounder, due to all that sleeping!I have a new fondness for whole wheat cereal Nestle Fitness for sahur. Nasi…well i cant eat that early in the morning. Karang muntah pulak masa gosok gigi.

Pregnancy does make me a different woman.

For instance, saya adalah suka menggosok baju dan memastikan saya selalu ada stok baju siap bergosok untuk seminggu sebelum ini.tetapi. sekarang, ohh tidak sama sekali.

Raya is coming, and I havent shop for anything to wear.
And my baju is getting ketat now, with my tummy getting more prominently rounder and my normally loose work shirt is getting tight around the chest
And yes definitely need new lingeries…huhuhu

The first item I got is for my maternity wardrobe is the Belly belt!

I havent yet to wear my hip hugging jeans!Bought about 3 of M&S jeans while we were in London, but now I dont know if I still can fit…:(

Many buka puasa plan this weekend, I  am looking forward to meet old friends!

Ah. another travel bug has bitten me.

If hubby is going to spend 3 weeks in a cold winter of a Scandanavian country, then maybe his much delighted wife can come along to spend a week with him. Sambil membawa bekalan sambal ikan bilis goreng untuk suami terchenta heheh. Alasann~~~

The pro are:

Yes, another country in the world to visit! I like!
We only have to pay return airfare for me – KLM gives good offer! At the price of one LV Speedy. My hubby always said, thats how I do my economic. At the price of how many LV Speedys. Hahah!
And I get to bring our unborn child – in the tummy, but still, what a very well travelled baby foetus!
And I am pretty sure this baby is conceived in Paris, explaining why I am so preferring bread, burgers, actually not eating too much rice now, tapi dont worry saya bukan melayu perasan mat saleh kerana masih menggemari nasi kerabu dan ikan goreng tepung.:P

Cons:

We are also saving up for our coming baby and house (the wardrobe, grill and kitchen cabinet doesnt come cheap or so I have learned!)
I am pregnant. 6 months pregnant by then.
Its winter in November!!!Sejook ok. And the snow.ok this should go to PRO list.
But, it will be a limited daylight, how la nak gi jalan-jalan?Nanti asyik dok bilik je, makan!!!

But, if it isnt for work, would we ever think of getting to a Scandinavian country for holiday?

Macam takkk je.

Because what I have in mind for our holiday after this is wonders of the world country – pyramids in Egypt, the Great Wall in China, and the Taj Mahal in India.

And for babymoon maybe, Krabi ke Bali ke provided I have gotten my pre pregnancy weight or better, the weight I was when I was in uni, during final year! Or maybe, balik kampung to Kuching, having a good retreat in Santubong. Cantik!!

Takpelah, If we are going, we are going. If not, well, maybe there will be more opportunities coming to us.

P/S: I hope my hubby can also travel to Amsterdam while he is there. Because its one of his must visit countries due to theirorange clad football team. Tak bawak saya pun tak ape kalau saya takde masa tu. And maybe, we can also meet with Ming (hubby’s friend).She’s  in Denmark (dekat la kot? hehehe).

I have a confession, that I am now am always wondering if this little being inside me will need a pair of  adorable blue mittens, or cutesy pink booties? I cant wait to go shopping for you darling huhu

When referring to the western old wives tale, I seem to be showing the signs of having an adorable bouncy baby boy. And when reading eastern old wives tale about gender prediction, it seems that I could be the mom of a  baby girl with pink cheeks.

It is confusing but still, a little mystery is such a seductive thing.

They say a baby gender is detemined by factors, like, the acidity /alkaline in utero,  time of fertilization and also the technique of ahem.

For the record, if these little details I found about myself could solve the mystery of blue mittens and pink booties:

While on honeymoon in a certain European region, our meals  consisted of a halal sheesh/doner kebab and cola. And that supremely delicious cheese annd olive quiche and warm cappucino in a little French brassiere at Rue de Granelle, Paris.And also La Maggie de Curry (giving it French name).And whole wheat bread and sambal ikan bilis all the way from Malaysia. That sweet custard brioche made from fresh milk bought from a mart in Wembley that I smuggled into the plane. And of course, McD Fillet O Fish, eaten while sitting near the  London Eye,along the Thames. And Pringles, those crunchy and salty crisps, yum. And one more confession, please dont tell the British authority that we shared  Pringles with the squirrels in Hyde Park. Wah nasib baik aku tak kena serbu ok. Ada seekor yang determined gi kejar tangan yang memegang tin Pringles ini. But they are oh soo cute!

And what are other noted changes? Oh. yes.This is remarkable for me.I, The one who dragged half her wardrobe even to Outward Bound School (where you are suppose to survive, Survivor like) suddenly has the skill to pack efficiently, bringing only essential items with me. And my handbag isnt that full of stuff anymore. 

This is truly remarkable. According to my colleague, Kak Y, the baby will somehow inherit the mother’s attitude during pregnancy. Like, now, I  who can be meek and nice, can also be mean, yet still nice hehe. I think there’s  a word to describe it. It’s assertive. I feel definitely more assertive now.

And this new confidence, just this newly found confidence.Like the ability to say no at the right time. And this intolerance for crab, i mean crap. You talk to me nicely or no ears for you. Capisce?

And oh lordy, I do like looking nice nowadays. But this morning was an exception- I went to the petrol station with anti acne ointment traces  ( I have 3-4 huge zits now) on my face! .Dang, I forgot to rub it nicely before smoothing my moisturiser. But, I can forgive myself, that I was so tired returning home at 12 am and waking up at 530 am.

Just a note: To think that a goverment job is an easy 9 to 5 thing is totally delusional. Sometimes I have visions of me working with an oil giant or lecturing at my my alma mater.

Back to my topic, on this sudden liking to look good. For make up and stuff. I mean, I havent exactly rush to any M.A.C. or Bobby Brown counter and drooling over the stuff there, but for the first time, I watch how to apply various make up style by Lauren Luke on Youtube.

And, this liking for long strand necklaces. Look at the collection in ShopStyle. oh me likey!
