I heart KL

Hola. How was your weekend?

Mine was full of….weddings!!!

On Saturday, it was Ikram’s and on Sunday it was Shidi and also my matric friend, Azlina Hambal aka Ina. I would love to spend more time at each wedding but we were rushing to catch Indiana Jones at TGV KLCC (Nana, a darling little 10 year old, Sum1′a cousin really wanted to go to KLCC and I cant dissapoint this lovely girl and plus she’s returning to her hometown on the next day.) I think the movie is ummm, Un Indy like? Its not like I am a big fan of Indy but to have an ET in an Indy movie seems a bit uncreative. Well, whatever lah.

Over the weekend, I realized something.

Its been so long since I am around KL, I mean really, like walking in the middle of KL, crossing the streets and looking at whatever caught my fancy. Or checking outs the paintings at CM, or listening to the buskers on the street. I used to hang out at the KLCC park with Kel, discussing various things, like life, gossips, food, fashion..and the list goes on.but we are both busy now, she’s the engineer and  i the … well, whatever i am now. Huhu.

I also love the moments when I stared at the vast sky from Tower 2 KLCC. Looking at the ant likes humans… just enjoying the view. I also like the view at night. Thousands of lights againts the total blackness of the sky. Wowee. Wish I could enjoy it again, soon.

But lately I have seen too many foreigners inside the city that makes it feel unsafe  to go the places I like to go to. Its like a pollutant. huhu. And murder cases everywhere.Psychopaths lurking around the corner. And car thefts.

KL is no longer what it used to be, that I agree. But that doesnt deter me. No matter  how dusty, heaty and busy it is. I still love.

I guess I am a KL girl, heart and soul. Inasmuch that I love the green country side, I still miss KL and its hecticness. I mean, yes, I love the peacefulness of a kampung. But 3 days later, I would find myself  missing my hometown.  hehe

So I might be anywhere, but in my heart there’s still this old place.
